The standards this site is written to

This site is patient education published by Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital. It is written to the hospital’s content standards and to the advertising rules governing medical content, which is why it reads differently from a commercial clinic site. Every article carries a review date and the name of the physician who reviewed it.

What this site does not do

It names no drug brand and no device brand, and describes treatments only by their class — fractional laser, ablative and non-ablative fractional laser, microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, topical retinoid, chemical peel. It quotes no dosage and no price, states no wavelength or energy, and publishes no percentage or success rate.

No ranking and no promise

The two options are presented in no order of merit, and nothing on this site should be read as an offer of a specific result. Neither option removes a scar. How a scar responds depends on its type, its depth, the skin it sits in and how that skin heals, and either decision is made only after a personal assessment.

Corrections

If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, or that it describes an option unfairly, raise it through the hospital administration contact. Corrections affecting clinical meaning are reviewed by the responsible physician before publication, and the review date on the affected article is updated when they are made.
